Why did you decide to become an esthetician?
After working in pr/marketing for six years, I realized a desk job was no longer for me. I craved a career that would keep me connected with people and working with my hands would definitely be a plus. After long consideration and battling with my own skin issues, I decided to become an esthetician.

Where are you originally from?
Born and raised in Sacramento, Calif.

Favorite city you’ve ever visited and why?

Savannah, Georgia is on my top. It is so gorgeous there and rich in history. Not to mention there are some dang good places to eat there.

Favorite thing you learned in esthetician school?
Believe it or not, I loved learning about diseases of the skin and how they can be treated. I am a firm believer that many skin issues can be solved with a change in lifestyle—whether with diet, water intake, exercise or skincare routine.

Clients always ask so let’s get it on the table how… where’s your favorite place to brunch in Sacramento? Bawk Fried Chicken has the best chicken and waffles in town! Their vibe is also amazing.

Do you have any hobbies?
I spend most of my time at Dirty Bird but when I’m not working, I love to discovery small little towns in California. They usually have the best antique stores.

Why did you decide to get into skincare?

After 6 years of working at a financial institution I realized there was something missing, I had no passion for my work anymore. always wanted to do something beauty related so I went to cosmetology school in 2019 and found that passion in Skincare. I got licensed in 2021 and have been waxing ever since!

Where are you originally from?

I'm originally from Modesto but have spent a lot of time in Sacramento before actually moving here.

Favorite city you've ever visited and why?

Favorite city I've visited was Chicago. I have a love for house music and it originated in Chicago so it was nice to experience that scene during my stay. Exploring the city and trying new foods was amazing but the deep dish pizza's were my favorite!

Favorite thing you learned in beauty school?

Because I was in cosmetology school, we heavily focused on hair coloring and cutting. When we got to do skincare, my favorite part was waxing. I became obsessed with the after care and LOVED the post wax feeling I personally experienced very empowering. That's when I got inspired to dive deeper into it and make it a career.

Clients are going to ask so let's get it on the table how... where's your favorite brunch spot in Sacramento?

Favorite brunch spot would have to be Orphan! I'm always looking for new places to try so bring on the recommendations!

What is the most unique thing about you?

Something unique about me is that I have 2 bilingual dogs (Spanish & English). I have a huge love for animals! As a little girl, I used to ride my bike into orchards and set off squirrel traps so that I could save them all. If I had the space, I would probably foster as many animals as I could!

What made you want to become an esthetician?

After getting my bachelors degree in Child and Adolescent Development and working in Education, I found that career was no longer for me during this time of my life. I have always had an interest in the field of Esthetics and decided to go back to school beginning of 2024 to become a licensed esthetician. I have always struggled with acne and wanted to learn about skin as a whole.
